As a mother of three girls with beautiful afro textured hair, I am very aware of the challenges to keep their hair moisturised and protected, especially at night! Research proves that if you are not covering your hair with a fabric that has a satin weave, moisture is not retained, which leads to lack of length retention, and eventually breakage. Satin bonnets are widely recommended as the go-to protection product. It was a struggle for me to find the perfect bonnet, so I decided to use my sewing skills to make my own. My girls and the few family members I shared it with loved it so much, I’ve decided to share them with you all.
